About the event

Did you know that millions of records tracing Indonesian family histories are now accessible online — and growing every day?

In this interactive lecture, Dr. Maarten Fornerod of the East Indies Genealogical Society will guide you through the latest digital archives where Indonesians can uncover their ancestral roots, whether they trace back to Europe, India, China, or across the archipelago itself.

Using a live demonstration format, audience members are invited to explore their own family history questions in real time, projected on screen for everyone to follow. There's also room to learn how DNA can deepen your understanding of where you truly come from.
