About the event
Same Page is a two-weekend programme by HELP and Margin Library, inviting us into the cross-cultural journeys of refugees through intimate conversations, book clubs, and poetry readings, creating space to encounter stories across borders, experiences, and ways of belonging.
In this second session of Same Page, Borrowed Words pairs a book discussion held in collaboration with After-Office Book Club and refugee volunteers from HELP.
HELP is a refugee-led organization that helps empower fellow refugees and build resilience and hope in our community in Jakarta.
In light of Margin’s quarterly theme of Becoming & Belonging, we hear directly from HELP on how closely a book’s portrayal matches their own lived experience, in a discussion moderated by After-Office Book Club.
