About the event

This is a space created for the "in-betweens"—for the half-formed thoughts, messy brain dump, longed written poetry, and the reflections that aren't quite ready for the world yet. We're coming together to slow down and remember what it feels like to simply put pen to paper. In the glow of candlelight, we’ll move away from our screens to focus on writing, reading & conversing: the way ink sinks into the page and the steady rhythm of a resting mind. With a glass of wine in hand, we'll sink into cozy corners, reading aloud or in quiet company, and letting conversation flow as unhurried as the evening itself.

This event is divided into two sessions

Session 1: The Writing Ritual

A guided writing workshop by Ink & Petals, held in a quiet, candlelit circle for anyone with something waiting to be put into words. We will move through a series of thematic prompts designed to help you write, breathe,

and explore your thoughts as deeply as you choose. You will leave with a new piece of writing and the practical tools to continue your practice at home.

Session 2: Wine, Read, & Convo

An open, curated reading session featuring a handpicked collection of books centered on romance, longing, and growth. You are invited to spend this time reading aloud to the group or simply sinking into the quiet, supportive company of others with a glass of wine in hand. Each book is included with your ticket to borrow and take home.

You can book either session or both sessions with different ticket pricing.

FAQ

Do I need to be a writer to come?

Not at all. You just need to be willing to be honest on paper for a few hours. Some prompts will feel easy. Some will feel like you're writing something you weren't supposed to. That's exactly where we want to be.

Do I have to share what I write?

Never. Sharing is always optional. The only rule is honesty on the page — what happens after that is entirely yours.

Can I join Session 2 if I didn't attend Session 1?

Absolutely! Session 2 opens with a brief introduction to the evening's theme so everyone starts from the same place.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. We provide the prompts, the paper, the pens, the books, and the wine. If you have a journal you love writing in, bring it — but it's not required.

Is the wine included?

Yes — one glass is included in your ticket. If you don't drink, no pressure at all. The wine is part of the ambience, not the expectation.

Do I need to return the book?

Yes. Books are available to rent and take home, but they belong to the Margin Library. The return date and process are handled directly between you and Margin Library — details shared on the night.
